AGU Owner & Chef, Hisashi Uehara is becoming a regular on KHON's Hawaii's Kitchen. This episode, Hisashi has a little fun with host, Trini Kaopuiki, while he shares his secrets on creating Gyoza and some spicy Tan Tan Ramen.
In today's Hawaii's Kitchen, the Owner and Chef of Agu Ramen,
Hisashi Uehara, shows us how to make their delicious Yuzu Jidori Ramen.
If you're ever wandering on the streets of Honolulu, and catch a whiff of something powerfully delicious, you may have stumbled upon AGU's new kitchen.
However, like a Secret Garden, this location is not open to the public. Rather it is a 2000 square foot culinary studio where AGU's Chef Hisashi "Teddy" Uehara has plenty of space to conjure up new twists on his famous ramen dishes. It also serves as the central kitchen where the intensely rich pork and jidori chicken broths can simmer until they're ready to be dispersed to all three restaurant locations on Oahu.
This is exciting news for fans of AGU's menu. Hisashi is known for his culinary magic. Now that he has room to experiment and play, there's sure to be new taste adventures on the horizon.
The Hawaii Restaurant Association (HRA) held its 9th annual Hawaii Restaurant Hall of Fame Dinner and Chefs of Aloha Dine-Around on Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Pomaika’i Ballroom.
